Recognising ASD (6:39)

This tutorial covers the basic signs of ASD, and what actions you can take if you suspect someone has ASD. The presenter, Anita Nicholls, is an early intervention teacher and parent of a child with autism spectrum disorder.

• A recogniser is anybody who might come across a child or adult with a possible ASD.

• A referrer is a professional who makes an initial clinical assessment for ASD, and refers for specialist hospital assessment, if required.
